Internship at Dutch National Opera & Ballet

Dutch National Opera & Ballet is one of the largest Dutch cultural organisations and is located in the heart of Amsterdam. With more than 650 colleagues from over 30 nationalities, we work together every day to enrich as many people as possible with the wonder, beauty and meaning of opera and ballet. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact. What you need to know

  • We offer placements for MBO, HBO and university students.
  • We only offer practical internships, with space to conduct your own research project.
  • The minimum internship period is five months.
  • You may occasionally be required to work outside office hours.
  • For a full-time internship of 38 hours per week, you will receive an internship allowance of €400 gross per month (as of 1 January 2026).
  • You will have the opportunity to attend performances.
