Julien Dran
The tenor Julien Dran studied piano, French horn and singing at the conservatoire in Bordeaux. He then joined the CNIPAL opera studio in Marseille, where he made his stage debut in the 2007-2008 season. Since then, he has performed in numerous venues in France and elsewhere in Europe. He has sung roles including Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Fenton (Falstaff), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Il Conte Almaviva (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Edmondo (Manon Lescaut), Matteo Borsa (Rigoletto), Alfredo (La traviata), Nadir (Les Pêcheurs de perles), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and the title role in Faust. His performance as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi will be his debut at Dutch National Opera.
