Bars during walk-ins and intervals
The bars at the Main Stage offer speciality coffees and teas, organic juices and various snacks.

Theatre Café
For a performance at Studio Boekman, the main entrance opens one hour before curtain-up; you can then visit the Theater Café before and after the performance.

PIN-only
We have a PIN-only policy in the theatre, allowing us to serve you more quickly and safely. At the bar, the shop and the cash register, you can pay contactless or by PIN.

Ordering food and drinks in advance

No waiting in line! Your drinks and snacks will be ready for you
Order your food and drinks in advance—whether from home, work, or on the go. We’ll make sure your order is prepared and waiting for you at the bar of your choice during the interval, so you can skip the queue. You can place your order up to 5 hours before the start of an evening performance, and until 22:00 on the evening prior to a matinee performance.

Please note! To order food and drinks in advance, you need to create a separate account. This cannot be done with your operaballet.nl account. It is not possible to order order food and drinks in advance for performances in Studio Boekman.

How can I order food and drinks in advance?

It is not possible to place orders by phone via customer service.

Until when can I place an order?
For evening performances, you can order up to 5 hours before the start of the performance. For matinee performances, you can order until 22:00 on the evening prior to the performance.

Assortment
The online selection largely corresponds with the products available during the performance. However, certain items may be out of stock on a specific day. If this is the case, they will not be displayed in the app or online.

How far in advance can I place an order?
You can place an online order up to 3 months before the performance.

Where and how will my order be ready?
You can choose to have your order prepared at auditorium level (middle bar), on the 1st balcony, or on the 2nd balcony. During the ordering process, you will indicate which level your seats are located. 

Your ordered items will be ready on the table to the right of the middle bar at auditorium level, or on the table to the right of the bar on the 1st and 2nd balconies. Your order will be labeled with your name.

For which time slots during the performance can I place an order?
You can have your order prepared for the 1st or 2nd interval (if applicable). It is not possible to have items ready before the performance or after it ends. At the end of the ordering process, just before payment, you can select whether you would like your order for the 1st interval or – if there are two intervals – the 1st or 2nd interval.

Creating an account and logging in
When placing your first order, you will need to create an account. You can use these login details for future online orders of food and drinks or when ordering a table package. Please note: This account is separate from the account used to purchase tickets.

Can I modify my order? Can I add products, exchange items, or move my order to another date after I have paid?
No, this is not possible, as the payment has already been processed. However, you can cancel your order and place a new one.

How can I cancel my online order for food and drinks?
You can cancel your order up to 24 hours before the performance. Cancellations within 24 hours before the performance are not possible. 

To cancel, send an email to bestellingen@operaballet.nl with your order number, name, order date, and phone number. We will process the cancellation and refund the amount. This may take up to 7 working days. 

Would you like to cancel only part of your order? You will need to cancel the entire order first and then place a new order for the items you still wish to purchase.

I can’t remember what I ordered or for which performance. What should I do?
A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided within minutes of placing your order. This email includes the ordered products, the pickup location, the date, and the time. 

If you do not see the confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder.

Packages

During the interval of the performances, we offer a sparkling wine package (cubes of aged cheese, dried sausage, olives, crunchy beans, cheese sticks and a glass of Corpinnat Brut Reserva) and a drinks package (cubes of aged cheese, dried sausage, olives, crunchy beans, cheese sticks and a drink of your choice). You can order this in advance. It is not possible to order packages with the performances at Studio Boekman.

Bars

There are 5 bars in the Foyer Main Stage: 3 bars at auditorium level, one bar on the 1st balcony and one bar on the 2nd balcony.

Next to Studio Boekman is the Theatre Café where you can enjoy coffee, cake, a nice glass of bubbles and other drinks.

Product range

All bars have the same standard range of drinks and food. There are also some exceptions:

  • Special wines by the glass and special champagnes by the bottle are only available from the bar in the middle at theatre level. 
  • Food items are limited in stock per performance. Therefore, it may happen that some items are sold out.

For our products, we work together with suppliers such as patisserie Kuyt, nuts from Gotje, coffee biscuits from Farm Brothers, Gulpener Beer, coffee and tea from Hesselink and soft drinks from Coca Cola.

Exceptionally ordinary

This delightful beer is brewed by people for whom finding a job elsewhere is not a given at the moment. Exceptionally talented people who have found an ordinary job at Brouwerij de 7 Deugden. The lovers of our beer lend a helping hand, allowing us to offer as many people as possible the chance of an ordinary job. For some, that’s quite extraordinary; for us, it’s simply ordinary.

After the performance

After the performance on the Main Stage, you can unwind, relax, and chat at the left bar on the orchestra level, which is closest to the main entrance. The Theatre Café bar will be open for performances at Studio Boekman.

Sustainability

Most of the products we offer are made from sustainable ingredients and have an EKO quality mark and/or a comparable international quality mark, such as Douwe Egberts coffee, Schulp organic juices, Gulpener Limburgs Land beer.

Eating out nearby

Within walking distance or easy to reach by public transport.

There are several excellent restaurants in the area around the Opera & Ballet where you can enjoy an excellent à la carte meal before the performance. Our guests have given us positive feedback about the following restaurants:
