Extras
Dutch National Opera regularly looks for extras for a wide range of opera productions. As an extra, you experience the rehearsal and performance process up close.
Audition (extra) Chorus
The permanent Chorus of Dutch National Opera consists of 50 singers. For large-scale productions, additional singers with a completed conservatory education are contracted on a project basis.
Dutch National Ballet audition
For the 2026–2027 season, auditions will be held for both the Main Company and the Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet. These auditions will take place on Saturday 24 January 2026. Applications for these auditions are now closed.
Dutch National Opera Studio audition
Applications for singers and repetitors for Dutch National Opera Studio for the 2026–2027 season are closed. As soon as applications for a new season open, this will be announced on this page.
